MHOA RACE TO 500Delivering Hope: Help Us Serve 500 Families This Holiday season! For the past two years, Motorheads of America has been honored to provide 100 holiday meal packages to families in our community through the support of our annual Holiday Festival. Because of your generosity, families who may have otherwise gone without were able to gather around the table and enjoy a holiday meal. Last year, we witnessed something we did not expect. Within just 2 hours, every meal package had been distributed. The message was clear: the need in our community is growing. This year, we are committed to meeting that need by increasing our goal from 100 meals to 500 meals. To make that possible, we are launching our holiday fundraising campaign earlier than ever before. Our goal is to raise $15,000 before November to help purchase 500 holiday meal packages and an enclosed trailer. Our pickup truck has faithfully served us these past two years, but it simply is not large enough to transport 500 meal packages, food donations, tables, supplies, and volunteers&#39; equipment. Our goal is to purchase a gently used enclosed trailer for approximately $5,000.This trailer will become so much more than storage.It will allow us to safely transport hundreds of meals throughout our community. It will provide a warm, sheltered place for our volunteers to organize and distribute meals during Minnesota&#39;s cold December weather. It will also serve our organization year-round at community events, fundraisers, outreach programs, and future Crisis Prevention Project activities. The remainder of the $15,000 will be used to purchase meal package items.
