Dear Friend of the Asheville Gay Men’s Chorus, For over 26 years, the AVLGMC has been the beating heart of LGBTQIA+  pride in Western North Carolina – raising our voices in harmony in a tradition which celebrates music, equality, and community.  Funding for the arts is at a critical inflection point now, more than ever. Charitable giving is at an all time low with many corporate and governmental entities bowing to anti-DEI pressure. As a non-profit arts organization, our operations expenses far outstrip the revenue generated by membership dues and ticket sales. That’s why we’re asking you to stand with us and help sustain this enduring tradition. Your gift does much more than simply keep the music alive. It fuels pride, joy and  connection across our community. It also allows us to continue growing the chorus and  build musical excellence in our programming.  Like everything else, our costs for venues, musicians, music and event fees continue to  rise. Whether you give a little or a lot, you are part of the AVLGMC family. When you give as a  Rainbow Donor, we will thank you with music, memories and a few extras.  Every dollar supports our singers, our concerts and our mission. We thank you for your support and look forward to  seeing you at our June 2026 concert, “Happily Ever After? Ten Years of Marriage Equality,” as we lift our voices together in pride and celebration.
