Dear Neighbors, At the Fancy Nancy Foundation, we believe in the power of community to uplift those who need it most. Today, I am reaching out to ask for your support in a very special campaign to grant a local family the gift of freedom, accessibility, and peace of mind. We are currently raising funds to purchase a reliable, handicap accessible van for a local family with a child who is 100% disabled. As their child has grown, picking them up and safely transferring them in and out of a standard car seat has become physically exhausting and increasingly difficult for their parents.These necessary, specialized vehicles are exceptionally expensive, often prohibitively so. This van is about more than just driving; it is a vital lifeline. It will allow the family to securely roll their child into the vehicle while remaining in their wheelchair, safely locking them&nbsp;into place, and being able to go. It will eliminate the heavy lifting and open up a world of accessible medical appointments, family outings, and everyday errands that so many of us take for granted.
