I’m a mom raising an autistic child, navigating the relentless emotional, financial, and mental demands that come with it. I know what it’s like to sacrifice income to remain available for your childs therapy appointments, to cancel plans because of meltdowns, and to go to bed wondering how I’ll hold it together tomorrow.This mission became urgent after I lost a dear friend—another autism mom—to suicide. She was overwhelmed by the weight of it all: the isolation, the appointments, the financial stress. I’ve never stopped wishing I could have done more.That loss became my turning point.<hr /><h3>Our Mission:</h3>The Unburdened Project provides practical, emotional, and mental health support to parents of special needs children. We center the parent—because if they burn out, the whole system collapses.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Peer-led + professional: Empathy meets expertise.
