In 2025 we lost our dear friend, neighbor, the creator of FlushFest and beloved piano whisperer, Peter Estep. Peter changed Hillsborough for the better. He was always out with a joke or a good word for his neighbors and anyone anywhere he interacted with. His music filled our hearts with joy. He was instrumental in creating the Appropriate Sanitation Institute, where he was a founding board member and treasurer. In his memory, we are placing a bench on the FlushFest festival grounds at Eno River Brewing, along the Hillsborough riverwalk. Peter&#39;s good friend Rick is a metal worker and has offered to make the bench for the cost of materials, and to bring it up with him from Florida when he comes for FlushFest in October. The bench will cost him $1500, and we need $200 for a concrete base so it won&#39;t wash away in a flood. Please help us raise the money so that we can offer this contemplation bench to the community, in Peter&#39;s memory. Thank you so much for your generosity
