Activity at the historic Jenkins Middle School Gymnasium, located at 106 W Lincoln Avenue in Chewelah, has diminished but it is still in use. It continues to host school athletic events and it has become a welcome refuge for indoor pickleball during the wet fall and winter months. Unfortunately the roof needs repairs to keep the rain and snow outside and off the playing courts. NEWPA has volunteered to raise funds for the purchase of the necessary roofing material.NEWPA will match the first $2,500 donated to this roof repair campaign. Together with your donations, it will cover the expected cost of $5,000 to purchase the necessary roofing material and make the gymnasium safer for everyone to use. Please give a charitable donation to an effort that benefits the Chewelah School District and those who enjoy indoor sports.
