We have successfully paid for the portion of this fundraising that covered the emergency patching after the bomb cyclone in the amount of $6,545.  We removed this part from the fundraiser as it was a bit confusing.  We are very grateful for the support. Thank you, The Keepers. Our goal is to replace the roof on the historic Slip Point Keepers Building, located at 663 Frontier Road in Clallam Bay.  This building is a valuable part of our community's history and we are committed to its restoration and preservation.  Replacing the roof is the critical first step to protecting the structure from further damage and insuring its long term integrity.  Last winters storms caused damage that was temporarily patched, keeping the building dry for now, but leaving the roof unaddressed for another winter could result in significant loss to both our community and the park systems. The Clallam Bay Slip Point Keepers Building, built in 1905, has a rich history as home to many lighthouse keepers over the years.  Our goal is to preserve this historic building and honor its legacy by sharing the stories of those who lived and worked here through a museum established on-site.  For many years this building also served as a residence for local law enforcement, further solidifying its role in safeguarding both the ships in the straits and the community itself.  We aim to honor its dual history of protection and service as we work to restore and preserve it for future generations.
