Rooted in Resilience Southwest Washington&rsquo;s streams, wetlands, and riparian areas are under growing pressure from invasive plants, habitat loss, development, and polluted stormwater runoff. When native vegetation is lost and waterways are degraded, the effects reach throughout the ecosystem, from the plants and wildlife along a streambank to the fish that depend on cool, connected habitat.RiverRoot Restoration was created to help care for these places through riparian restoration, native plant stewardship, environmental education, and community involvement. We are raising $10,000 by October 16th, 2026 to give RiverRoot a strong foundation for the work ahead. Funds raised through Rooted in Resilience will support the core costs of getting a new restoration nonprofit established and ready for fieldwork, including nonprofit insurance, financial systems, website development, staff capacity, and early project development. These are not always the most visible parts of restoration, but they are what allow us to build partnerships, pursue funding, develop projects responsibly, organize future stewardship opportunities, and follow through once work begins. Your donation helps move RiverRoot from a newly formed nonprofit toward an organization equipped to put restoration into action.
