This scholarship was established to honor the life of Pete House. &nbsp;Born and raised in Edgecombe County, Pete loved his family and his country. &nbsp;At only 17, he joined the Air Force, serving for 9 years and receiving two bronze medals from his deployment overseas. &nbsp;Pete put his family first. He loved his wife deeply, always showed up for his brothers and sister, and was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren.&nbsp; A well-known and respected member of the Tarboro community, Pete established and successfully ran his company, Tarheel Heating and Air, for more than 25 years. &nbsp;He understood a career in HVAC is more than a business; it is an opportunity to put your community first and serve others.
