We’ve updated the fundraising goal here to reflect that. It includes his original hospitalization of $5,352, his second hospitalization of $2,442 and his specialist visit or $2,902. Total of $10,696. If we cannot raise this, we cannot help other dogs. Oreo has many tests and appointments ahead of him. Right now, number one focus is getting his diabetes to a manageable level and then addressing his liver and pancreas issues. Please please please help us help him Update 8/21 at 9:05 pm Picking Oreo up now! Yay!!! This hospitalization was $2441.23. He sees a specialist on Thursday which is $300 to walk in the door and be seen. No additional testing, meds, etc. Plus his original hospitalization which was $5,352. This excludes the vet appointments and tests he had between hospitalizations and the insanely expensive food ($189 a bag) 😳. Total we must raise for our best buddy Oreo thin is $8,094. UPDATE 8/18 11:35 PM Oreo has been hospitalized again tonight and will be for the next 2-4 days. 💔 we are now faced with another $2,000+ bill. The hospital is estimating up to $3500. Right now we are trying to raise the $2,000 until we hear otherwise. His original bill of $5,352 has been covered thanks to everyone! Now we need help with this $2,000 for him!!! Potentially more. This doesn’t include the multiple vet visits, different prescription foods ($189 a bag may I add), insulin or any other necessities in between his original hospitalization and current hospitalization. Please help us help Oreo and to be able to continue helping more dogs ❤️‍🩹 please share with everyone you know and ask them to donate! Every single dollar helps!!! Oreo desperately needs our help. He’s currently hospitalized fighting for his life. His story started with the kindness of strangers. He was found wandering a Charlotte neighborhood, clearly very sick. The people who found him didn’t look the other way—they rushed him to the emergency veterinarian and personally spent more than $2,300 to give him a chance. When they realized he needed even more care, they reached out to us. Oreo is currently hospitalized in critical condition after going into diabetic crisis and experiencing complications affecting multiple organs. The good news is that he’s responding to treatment. His levels are slowly improving, additional testing has brought encouraging results, and he’s showing everyone that he’s ready to fight. Now it’s our turn to fight for him.His veterinary team expects Oreo to remain hospitalized for several more days, bringing his total medical expenses to an estimated $8,000–$10,000. We’ve already paid more than $2,000 toward his care, but we still have a long way to go.Every dollar donated goes directly toward saving Oreo. Oreo is only estimated to be 1–3 years old. He’s the sweetest little guy with the cutest spots, and once he’s feeling better, he’ll have a foster family waiting to love him. Thank you for helping us give Oreo the future he deserves.
