Meet Sir T'Challa! 12/20/24 - *T'Challa needs to go to the ER for some fluid that may possibly be accumulating in his chest and we are out of fund.* Whenever a family has a hardship, Deb and I at Help for FIP try our hardest to do everything we can to save the kitty, even if that means they surrender the kitty to me under mine and Dawn's rescue and I do the treatment. This means I pay for it out of my own pocket along with donations from all of you wonderful cat people. T'Challa was going to be one of those cats. But getting him from TN to me in OH became such a large production, 3 days later and about 36 hours of coordinating, it just wasn't happening.  I talked to the owner and advised they do the treatment, and I will still fund it. They agreed, they were in tears that they would actually get to keep their baby and save his life. The owner is an on-the-road trucker and gone for weeks at time. One of the reasons they weren't able to treat. Deb Vesco Roberts said, 'take him with you on the road!' there's plenty of truckers that have cats instead of dogs with them! And so, here we are! Things don't always transpire the way we hope. We do our best to help everyone, however, that's just not always possible. T'Challa's story has taken so many twists and turns, with numerous volunteers like Dana Kehs, Nicole Edge, Theresa Byerly, Kellie Reeves, NayNay Domina Cattus, and everyone who has donated to save this boy.  His hospital bill alone was $1,500.00 and we've raised about $400. Nicole paid 2/3 for the deposit and I paid the rest. That's not counting the vials of medicine this VERY large boy, all 15lbs of him!, is going to need. If you have $1, $5, or $50, it all adds up and it all helps! Please consider donating so we can save his life! ♥ He has been discharged and picked up at 2am from the ER! He is stable, eating and drinking well, using the litterbox and constantly purring! The techs at the ER just loved him cause of how sweet he is.
