For generations, West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park and Weiss Memorial Hospital in Uptown provided essential care to Chicago’s West Side and North Side communities. Their closures - Weiss in 2025 and West Suburban in March 2026 - left patients, families, and neighborhoods without trusted sources of care. In September 2026, a Cook County court settlement placed both hospitals under Insight’s leadership, opening a path toward reopening. Your gift helps turn that opportunity into care. Donations go to the Insight Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and are designated to support West Suburban and Weiss. Contributions help fund the work required to welcome patients again: essential equipment and supplies, licensing and certification costs, and the clinical staff needed before the doors can reopen. Together, we can help restore these hospitals and bring vital patient care and community health services back to the people who depend on them.
