Nevada Girls State is a week-long civic leadership program for Nevada high school juniors, run by the American Legion Auxiliary at the University of Nevada, Reno. For one week, delegates build a mock state government from the ground up: they run campaigns, pass legislation, and learn how democracy works by doing it. The real cost to send one delegate is $1,200. We charge families $400 to keep the program accessible, and fundraise the remaining $800 for every delegate, every year. Your gift closes that gap.
