A woman in period clothing rides a white horse against a backdrop of misty evergreen trees.

Minister of Sorrow began as a seven-minute monologue written during the darkest days of the pandemic. Playwright Pam Kingsley kept going — through our own Spokane Playwrights Laboratory, to a win at the 2023 Appalachian Playwriting Festival, to packed houses right here in Spokane in December 2024. This is exactly the kind of new, local work Stage Left exists to nurture. Now that work is heading to WSCTA's Kaleidoscope 2027 to represent Spokane on the state stage — and getting a cast, crew, and set on the road isn't cheap. Your gift helps Emma Pace's story go further, and helps Stage Left build the next one after it. Be part of the next chapter: help us send Minister of Sorrow to Kaleidoscope 2027!
