A young child in a yellow Mickey Mouse shirt plays with a golden retriever puppy on a wooden floor in front of white doors.

“Meet Skye! She’s an active 8-year-old who has spent the last few years navigating a challenging medical journey. She has been diagnosed with Congenital Sucrase-Isomaltase Deficiency (CSID), a rare digestive disorder that requires her to take medication every time she eats, often three different medications at once. She also struggles with vestibular migraines and is currently being evaluated for possible autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Milo is her new puppy and future service dog! He will be trained to retrieve her medications, provide deep pressure therapy during painful episodes, assist during migraines and dizziness, and offer comfort through medical appointments and procedures. Our hope is that Milo will give Skye more independence, confidence, and comfort so she can spend more time simply being a kid!”
