This isn&rsquo;t just a school closing. It means children losing the place where they finally felt safe, seen, and excited to learn. It means teachers who know and love our kids being forced out. It means families scrambling in an already overwhelmed school system. Our school is one of those rare places that truly works, a diverse, inclusive community where children (many receiving financial aid, many with learning differences) are supported, challenged, and known. And we are not ready to let it go. So, parents stepped in. In a matter of days, we formed a nonprofit to take action and fight for our kids. Now we have one goal: to raise $1.5 million to keep the school open through the end of the year. &nbsp;Every dollar goes directly to keeping classrooms running: &nbsp;supporting the teachers, staff, and students who make this place what it is.
