Four smiling young girls huddle together around a small brown and white puppy in the foreground, with stacked chairs and a white wall in the background.

This year, St. Robert School is excited to partner with Saving Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) for the SRS Puppy Challenge! During this hands-on, interactive service project, students will experience working together to make a positive impact in our community - truly experiencing the “service” part of our mission statement. Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi and his love for God’s creation, we want our students to discover that serving others doesn’t always require doing something enormous. Small acts of kindness, when we put them together, can make a BIG impact. Our school has been connected with two rescued litters of puppies currently in STAR’s care, and each classroom has been matched with its very own rescue puppy. Over the next 3 weeks, students will follow their puppy’s journey from rescued to ready for adoption! They’ll learn about what it takes to care for a rescued animal, and watch the impact of their service happen in real time. Each classroom will collect Paw Points throughout the project. You can help classrooms earn paws in two ways: by donating items through our weekly guided supply drives or by making a monetary donation here. The project ends October 9, and the class with the most Paw Points will celebrate with a Puppy Party! (Note: when making a donation, be sure to select the grade you would like your donation credited to so the class receives the appropriate Paw Points for the weekly challenges at school.)
