Big Bear Ranch Rescue (BBRR) is building something new for Clay County: the county’s first public nonprofit animal rescue organization focused not only on rescuing and rehoming animals, but on addressing the challenges that cause animals to become homeless in the first place. BBRR will provide traditional rescue services, including fostering, veterinary care, adoption, and rehoming. But our mission goes beyond that. Through community support programs, we will help pet owners access resources that can allow them to keep their animals safely in their homes. This includes assistance with veterinary care, spay and neuter services, and other interventions designed to prevent situations from becoming emergencies. By supporting families before they reach a crisis, we can reduce the number of animals entering shelters and rescues while keeping pets with the people who love them.
