A light-colored dog with a bandaged leg sits in a metal crate in the back of a truck, with a yellow and blue tarp visible behind it.

Caramelo was found injured on the street, scared and in pain, missing a whole paw. Your gift today helps cover her urgent medical care. Caramelo tested positive for Ehrlichia on the initial vet tests, along with severe dehydration. He will need to be stabilized before going under for amputation of his bad leg.  Please consider donating what you can. At Casa Xolo Foundation, we rescue animals while creating space for the BIPOC community to reconnect with nature, culture, and heritage. When you support Caramelo’s recovery, you also support a local haven where our stories, traditions, and rescued animals grow side by side. 🌱
