Carolinas Qazaq Community is a volunteer-run nonprofit for people from Kazakhstan who live in North and South Carolina, whatever their nationality or first language, and for friends of Kazakhstan. We do three things. We get together for Nauryz, Independence Day and other holidays. We run weekend classes so the kids keep the Kazakh language and the dombra. And we help families who just moved here with the practical questions: driver&#39;s license, schools, renting, finding a doctor. Nobody here draws a salary. Your gift pays for the hall, the teachers&#39; materials and Nauryz for the children. Every dollar goes back to the community. We are a North Carolina nonprofit corporation (EIN 39-2686600). Our application for federal 501(c)(3) status is in progress; until the IRS letter arrives, donations are not tax-deductible.
