This this year, for the first time ever, the CT FBLA State Leadership Conference will be held at the Connecticut Convention Center, the conference brings together over 1,000 students to compete in business related events, develop leadership and career ready skills, earn recognition, and qualify for the FBLA National Leadership Conference. For many students, this is the highest level professional conference they will ever attend as a student and provides an experience that mirrors real world business, finance, and leadership environments beyond the classroom. This event comes with a significant cost. Connecticut FBLA is funded almost entirely through student membership dues and conference registration fees, and we work hard to keep those costs as low as possible to ensure equitable access. Rather than passing additional expenses on to students and families by raising our prices, we are fundraising to help offset venue, programming, and operational costs.The more we raise, the more we can do for our members. Donations help keep student registration fees the same as previous year prices when we hosted our conference at a state university, expand leadership programming and competitive events, support schools and students with professional and standard conference incentives, and provide a high-quality, professional conference experience for all participants. Also, the change of venue comes with additional unanticipated costs such as parking fees for all of our judges and volunteers, convention center power drops, table rentals, A/V&nbsp;- all new and unanticipated costs. Your support directly impacts students across Connecticut by helping them build confidence, leadership skills, and a vision for their future in business and beyond. Every contribution helps us invest in the next generation of Connecticut&rsquo;s business leaders.
