South Portland High School FIRST Robotics Team 58 is currently competing in their 29th season! We are a small but dedicated team of students, mentors and families who have been working incredibly hard to reach the goal of qualifying for the FIRST World Championships in Houston, Texas, which takes place April 16-19, 2025.  Our team has worked tirelessly since this year's challenge was revealed in January, putting in countless hours in designing, building, programming, coding, and trouble-shooting this year's robot. We were finalists in our first competition of the season and just missed the finals in our second. We are heading to the New England Championships in Springfield, MA on April 2nd with big expectations for our performance there. We won't find out about our qualification status until approximately 10 days prior to the start of the World Championships, but we need to raise funds now. We are reaching out to local businesses and individuals for support. The expenses for travel, accommodations, registration fees, and materials necessary for the competition are significant, and your generous support would make a world of difference.In the event that we do not attend the World Championships, all donations will be invested in sustaining our FIRST robotics program at South Portland High School.  Building STEAM is the 501 (c)3 that supports Team 58.
