When firefighter/paramedic Jon Biggs-Moore and his family recently experienced a fire at their home, their lives were suddenly turned upside down. Thankfully, everyone is safe, and for that we are incredibly grateful. But while the home was not a total loss, the fire caused significant damage, including heavy smoke damage throughout the house, and the family lost many of their belongings. In the days ahead, Jon and his family will be faced with the difficult job of cleaning up, replacing essential items, and working to restore a sense of normalcy. As first responders, we spend our lives showing up for others on some of their worst days. Now it is our turn to show up for one of our own. The Anne Arundel Firefighters Emerald Society and IAFF Local 1563 are coming together to support Jon Biggs-Moore and his family during this difficult time.
