Since my brother and sister both played lacrosse, I had a stick in my hand at a very young age. Those early days of backyard fiddle stick games quickly taught me an important lesson, which was that there would probably always be someone bigger, stronger, or faster than me out there. That said, lacrosse offered an equalizer. You couldn't pick up a stick and be great on day one. The realization that my success would be determined by the work I put in on my own time was inspiring and motivating. Lacrosse has given me incredible experiences and lifelong friendships, but its greatest impact has come from the challenges and failures I’ve faced along the way. I’ve fallen short of goals, battled injuries and setbacks, and wrestled with the feeling of letting my team down in big moments. Yet, through these experiences, I’ve learned to embrace the process rather than fixate on the outcome. I’ve learned to lean into love and gratitude, to grab my hard hat, and to give it another go. The mindset I’ve developed through this journey is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Given the current climate in Israel, there is no greater honor than representing the country in the 2025 European Men’s Lacrosse Championship. The passion and emotion surrounding this organization are unparalleled, and the opportunity to play for something bigger than myself is a privilege beyond words. I am truly humbled and eager to give everything I have—not just to compete at the highest level, but to represent Israel with pride, play the game the right way, and bring hope, positivity, and excitement to those supporting us. During my junior year of high school, I had the opportunity to travel to Israel for two weeks on a service trip, where we competed against some of the best players in the country and taught lacrosse to local schools. At the time, I was going through the college recruiting process—a stressful experience for many high school athletes. As we visited school after school, I watched young kids light up with joy as they picked up lacrosse sticks for the first time. Their smiles didn’t fade after a dropped pass or a missed shot—they were simply grateful for the chance to play, to escape, even briefly, from the challenges of their daily lives. That same energy carried over to competitive games, where frustration and disappointment took a backseat to a pure love for the sport and the privilege of being able to play in that game on that day. This experience completely shifted my perspective, showing me just how powerful lacrosse can be in building communities and strengthening bonds. Since then, I have never taken my lacrosse related experiences for granted.
