Keep Big Sur Wild is an all volunteer-driven community organization working to protect the natural character, ecological health, and rural quality of life of Big Sur for the entire world to enjoy.&nbsp; We monitor development proposals, participate in public planning processes, and advocate for responsible land use consistent with the Big Sur Coast Land Use Plan. Our work includes protecting the Highway 1 viewshed, preserving affordable camping and local-serving housing, addressing overuse and commercialization, and supporting thoughtful wildfire and land stewardship practices. We also organize efforts to remove trash and graffiti, help address invasive non-native plants, and provide public education and community updates to keep people informed and engaged. Donations support research, outreach, on-the-ground stewardship, and the ongoing work needed to keep Big Sur wild for future generations.
