At The Northwest Review, we believe that literary magazines build community. They offer vital platforms for emerging writers and support the next generation of literary voices. Established in 1957, NWR provides University of Oregon students with opportunities to gain valuable experience in literary editing and production. We also rely on a team of paid and volunteer editors, who help us find the best work possible. We regularly feature reviews and interviews with Northwest-based literary writers, providing a necessary spotlight on our region. Although we are a digital publication, we hope to hold more community events and eventually expand to publishing print anthologies and books of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.
