Project 86 is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping prepare new and veteran members of public safety and healthcare for the traumatic scenes they will come across in their career. We believe that no one should have to fight their battles alone, and they should have the appropriate tools available to them proactively. Our goal is to speak with first responders and healthcare workers across the country, provide resources for mental health, and so much more.&nbsp; Project 86 was founded by a former Firefighter/EMT who suffers from PTSD. With other first responders and healthcare workers working alongside as board members and volunteers, the mission continues forward. The number 86 comes from two firefighters, one who died in the line of duty responding to a call, another who died from suicide.
