About the Program Stories That Bind is an AegleWell initiative dedicated to preserving family histories, cultural traditions, community stories, personal experiences, and generational wisdom so they can continue to educate, connect, and inspire. We believe every person has a story worth preserving. Through oral histories, storytelling, family history projects, photography, podcasting, video production, community interviews, and digital archiving, participants are given the tools to document the people, experiences, traditions, and values that shape who they are. Stories That Bind brings together families, Elders, veterans, youth, and community members to capture meaningful experiences and preserve them in accessible digital and multimedia collections that can be shared across generations. The program also creates opportunities for participants&mdash;especially youth&mdash;to develop valuable leadership, communication, interviewing, technology, storytelling, research, and media production skills while building meaningful relationships with those whose stories they help preserve.
