Every year, Friendship Sports International brings college students and young adults to Honduras &mdash; and every trip is filled with moments that change everything. Not just for the communities being served, but for everyone who goes. On those trips, you meet young Honduran&#39;s through the Inspirata Foundation. &nbsp;Young leaders who are pursuing Jesus with everything they have, over coming major obstacles, and refusing to let their circumstances define their future. Sof&iacute;a Castillo is one of those people. Andrea is a 17-year-old studying Marketing at the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH); her favorite pastime is spending time with her grandparents. She is very fond of sports and plays soccer for a team called Panteras. She currently lives only with her mother and grandmother, and her mother is fully responsible for her. Her academic average: 99% But in Honduras, talent and drive alone are rarely enough. In Honduras , the financial challenges for many &nbsp;seem insurmountable. &nbsp;For students from modest backgrounds, staying in university requires far more than hard work &nbsp;it requires a community willing to stand behind them. Financial barriers derail brilliant young people every year, not because they lack what it takes, but because they lack the support and resources to keep going. That&#39;s where you come in. We&#39;re not asking one person to do this alone. We&#39;re asking the entire FSI family &mdash; any student who has traveled to Honduras, every parent who sent one, every volunteer, every church, every friend who has ever been moved by what God is doing there &mdash; to consider giving just a little.Our goal: $400 every month so Sof&iacute;a can continue her education, deepen her walk with Jesus, and grow as both a student and an athlete. This money helps with books, supplies, transportation, housing and more.&nbsp; That&#39;s it. Spread across our community, that&#39;s just a few dollars a month from each of us.
