Laurel, don&rsquo;t rest on your Laurels Club Inc will be a hub for 12 step meetings.&nbsp;The club is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization with a board of directors and is not affiliated with AA in any way. &nbsp;The 12 step meetings held at the club rent space from the club and operate as totally separate entities.We have received a Legislative Bond Initiative (LBI also known as a bond bill) from the state of Maryland. This LBI can only be used for renovation or purchase of a space. &nbsp;It cannot be used for lease payments, utilities, insurance etc. &nbsp;Therefore, we need to raise funds for Club expenses. &nbsp;We are looking to raise 100K as quickly as possible. &nbsp;This allows us to secure a lease for the building we intend to renovate which is needed to activate the grant. &nbsp; We need 100 people to pledge $1000.00 each, or whatever you can. &nbsp; Pledges can be made by providing your contact information to receive a pay link.There are a lot of moving parts with this project. &nbsp;The LBI allows us to create a space that is specific to the needs of the local Laurel 12 step community. &nbsp;Accessibility, multiple bathrooms, coffee club, meeting space, a common area space for conversation, football games, movie nights, and games of all sorts. A safe place to hang out that is alcohol and drug free.
