Who we are:We are not new to animal rescue, and we are certainly not new to the Lehigh Valley. After years of working in rescue, we watched the homeless street cat population continue to grow while resources became increasingly limited. Calls for help were rising, rescues were overflowing, and too many cats were being left with nowhere to turn. So we decided to do something about it. Can a small group of dedicated people make a difference? Absolutely. We may be small, but we are mighty. We are professional trappers committed to rescuing abandoned and injured cats, and giving those that can no longer survive on the streets a chance to live safely indoors until they find loving families. But our philosophy goes beyond traditional TNR. While TNR stands for Trap-Neuter-Return, our mission is &quot;Trap-Neuter-Rehome.&quot; We believe every misunderstood street cat deserves more than survival&mdash;they deserve the safety, love, and comfort of a home. They did not ask to live like that. Whenever possible, we rescue, rehabilitate, and place those cats with loving families instead of returning them to life on the streets. For cats that truly cannot be socialized and thrive only outdoors, we ensure they are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to safe, managed colonies with heated housing and yearly medical care where compassionate caregivers continue to look after them. They will not just be tossed back to nothing on the street. We are the group that will answer the phone when everyone else says they&#39;re full. We are the ones who head out at all hours of the day and night searching for an injured cat, a frightened stray, a dumped cat, a lost family pet, or a litter of kittens fighting to survive. We are the rescue watching field cameras in the middle of the night, setting humane traps in freezing temperatures, coordinating with our experienced tree climbers to save that terrified cat 70 feet in a tree, crawling under porches, into barns, and through fields because no animal should be left behind. Every life matters to us 🐾❤️ Beyond rescue, we believe in preventing suffering before it begins. We educate the public, assist with TNR efforts, support colony caregivers, and are working toward launching a community cat food assistance program to help families keep their beloved pets during difficult financial times. Our mission isn&#39;t simply to rescue cats, it is to change the way our community thinks about homeless cats. We believe every cat deserves compassion, every life has value and every street cat deserves the chance to become someone&#39;s beloved companion. We can change the future for them. Today, we are building our first rescue and adoption center, complete with a medical quarantine area and secure outdoor catio where rescued cats can heal, play, and finally experience what it feels like to be safe while they wait for their forever homes. But our vision doesn&#39;t stop there.... Over the next 3&ndash;5 years, our dream is to acquire land and build something our area has never seen before...Cottages, Not Cages. Instead of rows of cold concrete kennels, rescued dogs will have their own cottage-style spaces designed to provide comfort, security, and a home-like environment. A place where they can decompress, play, and begin to trust again while waiting for the families who will love them forever. We want to give hope to the dogs whose time has run out in overcrowded shelters. The dogs placed on euthanasia lists simply because there wasn&#39;t enough space. We believe every one of them deserves another chance&mdash;not because it&#39;s easy, but because their lives matter. This is only the beginning. What we need:We need our community&rsquo;s help to continue our mission and finish remodeling of our facility. We are a small rescue without a huge budget or hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding behind us like many of these other shelters have. What we do have is an incredible determination to make a difference &mdash; and a promise that when a sick, injured or abandoned cat needs us, we will do everything within our power to help. But determination doesn&#39;t buy lumber, screening, drywall, building supplies, food or veterinary care. If you&#39;ve ever wondered whether a $5, $10, $20 or $50 donation actually matters to a small rescue, it absolutely does. When enough people give a little, together we can accomplish something enormous. Every dollar donated toward finishing this building and catio brings us one step closer to opening the door for the next Elvis, Gingerbread, Flurry or the street strays that don&rsquo;t have a name yet, the next injured stray, the next frightened mom with kittens, and the next cat who has nowhere else to turn.
