For more than a century, Cleveland’s public schools have produced extraordinary athletes, coaches, teams, and sports leaders whose accomplishments have shaped our schools, neighborhoods, and the history of Cleveland sports. Sports Legends of Cleveland exists to make sure their stories are not forgotten. In collaboration with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) Athletics Department and CMSD alumni associations, Sports Legends of Cleveland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting, preserving, and celebrating the history of Cleveland’s Senate League sports programs dating back to 1904. Our work connects the PAST to the PRESENT for the FUTURE by recognizing the student-athletes, coaches, administrators, teams, and athletic leaders who built this remarkable legacy while inspiring future generations of Cleveland student-athletes. Through our Hall of Fame and recognition programs, historical research, book project, documentary project, community events, and preservation efforts, we are creating a lasting record of more than a century of Cleveland sports history. But this is about more than remembering great performances, championships, and records. It is about preserving the stories of the people and communities behind them. It is about former student-athletes seeing their accomplishments remembered. It is about families being able to share the achievements of parents and grandparents with future generations. It is about reconnecting alumni with the schools and neighborhoods that helped shape them. And it is about today's young people seeing what generations of Cleveland student-athletes accomplished before them — and believing they can become legends, too. Your donation helps us preserve this history and continue building its legacy. Every contribution, regardless of size, supports our efforts to document Cleveland's sports history, recognize its legends, preserve their stories, and create resources that can educate and inspire generations to come. Together, we can ensure that more than 120 years of Cleveland sports history is not lost — but documented, celebrated, shared, and carried forward. PAST. PRESENT. FUTURE. = LEGENDS. Legends are NOT just born. Legends ARE bred. Cleveland bred™ For more information, email: info@sportslegendsofcleveland.com
