A hiker with a blue backpack and arms raised stands in deep snow, surrounded by frost-covered trees and distant snowy mountains.

Your gift keeps winter mountaineers prepared, safe, and respectful of the Adirondack wilderness. Donations support hands-on instruction in navigation, self-arrest, risk management, and winter camping for hikers, backpackers, and trip leaders. You are also supporting our scholarship program🥾 As a 501(c)(3) founded in 1954, WMS relies on individual support to keep courses accessible, maintain group gear, and train volunteer instructors who pass on safe, sustainable practices across the northeast’s winter mountains. ❄️
