<hr />🚗💜 West Coast Survivor Meetup Road Trip Fundraiser 💜🚗April 25th – May 3rd, 2025Survivors Unrestrained is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of institutional child abuse, especially those affected by the troubled teen industry. This road trip is not just about travel; it’s about bringing survivors together for healing and support.From April 25th to May 3rd, we’ll be hosting meetups across the West Coast—in Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego—where survivors will have the opportunity to connect with others, share their experiences, and start or continue their healing journeys in a safe and supportive space.Why These Meetups Matter:Survivor meetups are vital. They provide a space for individuals to:💜 Share their experiences and receive validation 💜 Build lasting friendships with those who understand 💜 Reclaim their strength and begin to heal in a supportive communityWe believe this trip will offer survivors an opportunity to take an important step toward thriving. But we need your help to make this possible.Fundraising Goal:We are seeking donors to help us raise $3,900 to cover the costs of this life-changing initiative. Here’s the breakdown of how the funds will be used:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$1,000 for Flights</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$700 for Hotel Accommodations</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$1,000 for Rental Car & Gas</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$1,000 for Food Costs</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">$200 for Meetup Essentials (pavilion rental, BBQ food, bonfire supplies, etc.)</li></ul>How You Can Make a Difference:Every dollar you contribute will directly support the logistics of these meetups and help provide survivors with a safe place to connect, heal, and grow. These meetups aren’t just events—they’re opportunities for survivors to build a new sense of community, find understanding, and take powerful steps toward healing.We also want to be fully transparent: Tabatha Petry (Founder/CEO) and Ian Ueda (Board Secretary) will be bringing their spouses along on the trip. Both spouses are registered volunteers with Survivors Unrestrained and will be assisting with event coordination. Any personal activities outside of travel and the meetups will be covered personally by us, not from Survivors Unrestrained funds. The sole focus of this trip, from April 26th to May 3rd, is to hold meetups and provide essential support for survivors.Tax-Deductible Donations:As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to Survivors Unrestrained are tax-deductible.
