For the past 10 years, Black Lives Matter Cleveland has stood on the frontlines of crisis, grief, injustice, and community resistance. Since our founding, BLMCLE has operated as a rapid-response, crisis-driven organization &mdash; showing up when our community faced police violence, public harm, racial injustice, systemic failure, and urgent moments of need.&nbsp; We have organized, advocated, mobilized, supported families, raised public awareness, demanded accountability, and helped hold space for Cleveland residents impacted by injustice. Now, as we enter our next decade, we are preparing for a critical transition. Black Lives Matter Cleveland is moving from being primarily a rapid crisis response team into a structured, programmatic organization with long-term programs that align with our mission, values, and community objectives. This shift does not mean we are abandoning rapid response.&nbsp; It means we are building the infrastructure needed to do more than respond to crisis after crisis. &nbsp;We are creating sustainable programs that help prevent harm, educate the community, preserve history, develop leadership, and strengthen Black-led organizing in Cleveland.
