A group of children and adults pose with colorful foam swords and shields on a grassy field backed by lush green trees.

At Sword & Shield, we’re building stronger people and stronger communities through outdoor recreation, team sword battles, and cooperative play. Our main goal is to offer free, organized outdoor events for youth, young adults, families, and the community. Through supervised team sword battles, group games, and physical activities, participants can make friends, build confidence, learn to work together, and feel like they belong. Funding will help keep these events free so everyone can join, regardless of their ability to pay.
