About the 2024-2025 Blue Machine Marching Band The Blue Machine Marching Band, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Jonathan E. Thompson, has flourished since 2015, expanding both its membership and its sound. Dr. Thompson is supported by a dedicated team of FVSU BMMB alumni, including Dr. Donnie Nicholson (Assistant Director), Mr. Detron Hammond (Composer/Arranger), Mr. Jeffrey Sharpe (Percussion Instructor), Ms. Kierra Brown (Auxiliary Instructor), Mr. Kelsey Felton (Announcer), and Mrs. Lakisha Hammond (Media Chair). For the past two years, Drum Majors Justin “Mr. Hollywood” Riley and Corey “The Law” Felder have expertly led the band, working closely with the staff and section leaders to bring Dr. Thompson's vision to life both on and off the field. Today, the Blue Machine Marching Band is made up of 140 talented instrumentalists and 10 dynamic Dancing Doll Divas, continuing to uphold a legacy of excellence and passion in every performance.
