We are raising initial seed money to launch and sustain a decentralized creative economy. This is the beginning of our work to stabilize the Seattle artistic community through interactive, city-wide transmedia. The Catalyst exists to dismantle the &quot;starving artist&quot; myth. We believe that to create a world worth living in, we must protect the people who make it beautiful. Right now, the artists, musicians, and builders who define our city&#39;s culture are being priced out. We view this as a systemic failure. To solve this, we operate &quot;The Tertiary Structure,&quot; a foundation designed to convert creative energy into a sustainable financial engine. We replace artistic isolation with community, and financial anxiety with a concrete path to freedom. We achieve this by funding interactive public art installations - like the city-wide Bob&#39;s Doors network - that drive local commerce while paying the creators directly. Our safety net includes &quot;Sanctuary of Innovation&quot; (free access to tools and workspace), &quot;The Art Nest&quot; (a collaborative hub), and our primary resource: The Artist Stabilization Fund. WHAT MAKES OUR CAUSE SPECIAL We are building an economic structure specifically for artists to thrive without the constant threat of creative displacement. Radical Transparency. We explicitly publish exactly where your money goes. Half of your donation goes directly to the Artist Stabilization Fund. Forty percent funds the physical production of large-scale, interactive public art - specifically the salvaged doors, materials, and hardware that drive our gamified economy. The final ten percent covers our operational infrastructure. Rapid, Direct Impact. Financial support requires agility, completely free of red tape. To ensure a rapid response to artists in crisis - such as those facing housing instability or food insecurity - our Treasurer is authorized to immediately disburse emergency grants of up to $2,000 per individual. We keep our people housed so they can keep creating the interactive realities that power our network. The Blind Trust. To preserve the dignity of our beneficiaries, we operate on an Anonymity Doctrine. Our Treasurer acts as a firewall, permanently redacting donor names from all financial reports. We explicitly do not want to know who you are. Your donation remains a pure community act rather than a transactional favor. Human Labor Priority. In a tech-driven city, we maintain a strict Labor Preservation mandate. We ensure that wherever a task can be performed by a human artist, painter, or builder, priority is given to the human. We value the dignity of physical craft and pay our artists fair market value for every installation they create for the network. We didn&#39;t choose to be here.
