Join us in Defending Our Movements! Nadia Topete, an immigrants' rights activist in Los Angeles, was subpoenaed to speak in front of a grand jury and declined to appear. Grand juries almost always result in indictments, especially of activists, and thus in political repression. Those who refuse to speak to grand juries are heroic, and should be hailed. Help us do what we can to make sure Nadia Topete sees no jailtime and can walk around Aztlán, free. At The Committee to Stop FBI Repression, we do what we can to fight political repression. Whether it's teaching people not to talk to the FBI, or gathering support for those raided or subpoenaed, or carrying out defense work for those who have been charged, we know protesting is not a crime. Donate to us so that we can do what we can for activists and the constitutional First Amendment right to freedom of speech, expression, and assembly.
