Help us transform 206 S Main Street in Homer into a Cortland County community center! 'The Hub' will be a place that inspires creativity, learning, growth and connection. A gathering place where generations learn and grow together, and where entrepreneurship and enrichment unite to strengthen the heart of Homer and Cortland County. To open the building to the public we need to put in new plumbing and bathrooms, so we can pass the code requirements. Help us get the doors open by donating today!Cortland Collective Impact Initiatives (CCII) believes in the power of the community to make incredible things happen. Together we can build The Hub, a place for all of us! The rooms will be filled with music lessons and science experiments, and delicious fresh meals cooked in the teaching kitchen during workshops and community dinners, while kids play a game of basketball in the gym. Caregivers from mothers and toddlers, to families of those with dementia, can gather to support one another and make new friendships. Children will have a safe and enriching space to gather after school and during vacations as well as for homeschool, and artists and entrepreneurs can offer classes and attend pop up markets. CCII is already running many programs in the community: from the youth orchestra and choir to wellness workshops to summer camps to markets. At The Hub, all these programs will be in one location and easily accessible to Cortland County community members. No donation is too small - every dollar gets us closer to our goal and makes you an active participant in building this community space. The Hub is your space! Everything we do is For the Community, By the Community: because together we can build the future we want to see.
