Our beloved Soror Ja&rsquo;Mese Williams was a cherished member of the Delta Phi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, and a proud alumna of Miles College in Alabama. Her passing in January 2026 left a profound void in our chapter family. In her memory, and in the spirit of Sigma Gamma Rho&rsquo;s mission of Greater Service, Greater Progress, the Delta Phi Sigma Alumnae Chapter and the Pearls of Purpose Foundation (POPF) have established this memorial fund to carry her legacy forward in service to the next generation. The estimated cost to fully sponsor one local student&#39;s participation in an annual HBCU tour is approximately $2,000. We are accepting general donations of any size to pool together and cover these life-changing opportunities for Pittsburgh-area high school sophomores and juniors. Scholars are prioritized based on financial need, academic standing, and a sincere interest in an HBCU education.
