The New Haven Canine Foundation invites local businesses to support The K9 Classic at Whispering Creek, taking place July 25, 2026, benefiting the New Haven Police Department K-9 Unit. The New Haven Canine Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the acquisition, training, equipment, and care of police service dogs assigned to the New Haven Police Department. Both the New Haven Canine Foundation and the New Haven Police Department K-9 Unit are funded entirely through community support. Sponsorships from local businesses play a vital role in maintaining this important public safety program. Funds raised through this event help support active K-9 teams, the addition of a new K-9 team to the department, and the continued care of retired police service dogs who have faithfully served our community. Thank you for helping ensure that our K-9 teams remain properly equipped, trained, and ready to serve.
