🌟The Lisa Gillespie Dance Legacy Fund🌟 Honoring Lisa’s life by carrying forward the work she loved. The Lisa Gillespie Dance Legacy Fund was established in loving memory of our cherished friend, devoted Ballet Mistress, and valued Los Alamitos Ballet Theatre (LABT) Board member. Lisa believed in the power of dance to bring people together. She was an integral part of LABT’s inaugural Dance Across Cultures international tour to Trinidad and Tobago, sharing in its mission of connecting artists and communities through performance, education, and cultural exchange. Her generosity, artistry, and dedication to our dancers left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Before her diagnosis, Lisa had already begun laying the groundwork for our next tour to Thailand. Although we are heartbroken by her loss, her husband and family have encouraged us to carry that shared dream forward. We are moving ahead in her memory, with love, purpose, and the hope of making her proud. Our Goal: A Lasting Legacy Our $250,000 fundraising goal will help sustain Dance Across Cultures over several years, beginning with our planned tour to Thailand. This is a long-term investment in the work Lisa helped begin: bringing artists and communities together through performance, education, and cultural exchange. Your gift will support the Thailand tour and help build a foundation for future international tours and outreach. Contributions will help cover travel, accommodations, costumes, and production expenses, making possible community performances, educational outreach, and cultural exchange among participating artists, staff, students, and the communities we visit. With your support, we hope to make Dance Across Cultures an annual tradition—creating lasting connections through the art form Lisa loved. Everywhere we go, her spirit will travel with us as we continue the work she helped begin.
