The Next 150 Years Begin Today!Preserve the Place. Open the Doors Wider. 150 years of history. One community. A future worth preserving. Built in 1876, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Residence & Jail has stood on Noblesville's Courthouse Square for 150 years. Once home to county sheriffs, their families, and inmates, today it welcomes visitors to discover the stories that shaped Hamilton County. Thanks to the Hamilton County Commissioners, our historic landmark now has a new roof, new windows, and an improved heating and cooling system. Their investment has helped secure the building's future. Now it's our community's turn to build on that investment! The HCHS is launching a $65,000 campaign with two important goals:Preserve the Place — $15,000 •••. Open the Doors Wider — $50,000 With major building improvements completed by the County, our focus turns to the museum's interior.Your support will help us:

Repair ceilings, walls, and cracks caused by previous roof leaks.

Replace worn flooring and carpeting.

Refresh interior spaces with painting and improvements.

Install protective window coverings to safeguard historic collections.

Create safe, welcoming spaces for visitors.

Every improvement protects more than a building. It preserves the history within.Preserve the Place — $15,000 •••. Open the Doors Wider — $50,000 Currently, our museum is open just eight hours a week—Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We want to change that!Your support will help us expand operating days and hours, provide consistent staffing, improve exhibits and educational programs, and welcome more families, students, researchers, and visitors. Our goal is simple: More days open. More history shared. More people welcomed.$150 for 150 YearsYour Gift. Their History.
