The Next Shift Fund Firefighters run toward death for a living. They carry the calls home for twenty and thirty years, and some of them cannot carry it anymore. The fire service loses them, not to a fire, to the weight. The Next Shift Fund pays for counseling with clinicians who treat firefighters, outside the department and off the record. It trains crews to recognize it in each other and trains fire families to recognize it at home. And when a fire family loses a firefighter to suicide, it stands with that family the same way it would after any line of duty death. One goal: get a firefighter to the next shift, alive. Your gift to Uniform Families Foundation goes only to this fund. Uniform Families Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit,EIN 41-5063345. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
