Dear Friends of The Party Theater, What a year 2025 has been! As we close out this season, we&#39;re filled with gratitude for this community and the incredible artists who make our work possible. We opened the year with three sold-out performances of Dance Nation&nbsp;by Clare Barron at The Carriage House on Main Street&mdash;a bold, hilarious, and heartbreaking exploration of ambition and growing up that left audiences buzzing. Thank you to everyone who packed the house and celebrated with us and special thanks to The Pull for hosting! In June, we gathered under the festival tent at the Belvedere Inn for the 5th Annual Hill People&#39;s Comedy Fest&mdash;our biggest year yet, with a landmark number of sponsors and three nights of stand-up, improv, sketch, and pure silliness. From our Local Voices Night showcasing Catskills and Hudson Valley talent to the unforgettable headlining sets, laughter truly rang through the hills. Throughout the summer and fall, we hosted Community Play Readings and Acting Workshops, creating space for neighbors and newcomers alike to explore their creativity and connect through theater. October brought our 4th Annual Microcosm immersive theater walk at The Mutual Aid Society, where local artists created original performances inspired by this year&#39;s theme: Afterlife. Audiences wandered the landscape at dusk, encountering surprising moments of beauty, wonder, and reflection, followed by a bonfire under the stars. Finally in November we presented our 2025 Work-in-Progress: Marisa Caruso&#39;s&nbsp;How to Make a Doll&mdash;an interdisciplinary piece blending video, memoir, neuroscience, and dollmaking to explore mental health and the mother-daughter relationship. After a week of devising in Stamford, and a two-night run at Torn Space Theater in Buffalo, the piece returned for a full production with a packed house.
