I want to tell you about him, because without help, we can&rsquo;t get him the care or the foster home he needs right now. Hippity Hop&rsquo;s life hasn&rsquo;t been easy. He first came to the shelter as a puppy, found a family for a while, but then was sadly returned. When he came back, he had a funny little walk and wobbly back legs&mdash;that&rsquo;s how he got his name, Hippity Hop. Not long after, things got even harder. After a misunderstanding with a visitor, he was placed in solitary confinement and put on the euthanasia list. He was literally hours away from losing his life when a kind-hearted volunteer stepped in to save him and moved him to a boarding facility. He&rsquo;s been there for 3 months now. While he&rsquo;s safe, he&rsquo;s not getting what he truly needs. We&rsquo;ve started noticing things about him that worry us&mdash;his back legs don&rsquo;t work like they should. When he tries to scratch himself, he can&rsquo;t actually do it, almost like the signal from his brain to his legs gets lost along the way. And when he goes to the bathroom, sometimes he doesn&rsquo;t even realize it&rsquo;s happening. We had a rehab doctor examine him, and she immediately saw that he was in pain. She believes he has a significant lumbosacral spine injury, which is causing right leg neuropathy and is likely contributing to his incontinence and weakness. &nbsp;Hippity Hop will be going for an orthopedic surgery consultation and MRI and every $1 we raise helps so much! The funds we raise will go directly toward: <ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Getting Hippity the medical care he needs so we can finally understand what&rsquo;s going on with his legs.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Covering food, safe shelter, and training resources to prepare him for the foster or adoptive home he deserves.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Getting him an MRI to determine what the actual problem is and the next steps to help fit it.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Funds for potential orthopedic surgery and rehab to follow.</li></ul> If we can raise the funds now, we can get him the urgent care he needs to begin his healing journey and give him the chance at the life he deserves.
