Support a Transformational Education & Orphanage Project in Logar, AfghanistanPROJECT is not ZAKAT ELIGIBLE A major construction project is currently underway in Logar, Afghanistan, with work taking place seven days a week on privately owned land. This initiative will provide a lasting benefit to the community by serving both orphans and students through a comprehensive educational campus. The project includes a residential orphanage that will house approximately 200 orphaned children. The orphanage will exclusively house orphans whose fathers were martyred (shaheed), providing them with a safe home, education, and long-term care. The facility will include dormitories, a full-time kitchen, a musallah (prayer hall), a cafeteria, and all of the essential support needed for the children to live, learn, and thrive. Adjacent to the orphanage will be a dedicated education center offering three integrated programs: - Islamic madrasa education- Secular/academic education- Orphan care and enrichment programming The entire program is 100% free. Students and orphans receive their education, housing, meals, care, and services at no cost whatsoever, ensuring that financial hardship never prevents a child from receiving an education. In total, the campus will serve approximately 1,650 students each day, boys and girls combined, across different educational levels. One of the most remarkable aspects of this project is its educational model. While girls in Afghanistan are generally prohibited from attending school beyond the sixth grade, this program provides a unique pathway for them to continue their education. Students can enroll in a five-year Islamic madrasa program, and during each year of madrasa they also complete two years of secular education through the school's integrated curriculum. This allows girls to continue both their Islamic and academic studies in a way that is rarely available, making this one of the most impactful educational initiatives currently underway in the country. The total cost of the project is $460,000. At this stage, we are raising the final $44,000 needed to complete construction. The school consists of 24 classrooms (8 classrooms on each of 3 floors), with each classroom accommodating 25 students. A full classroom can be sponsored for $1,850. Alhamdulillah, 3 classrooms have already been sponsored, leaving 21 classrooms still available for sponsorship. If 21 individuals, families, or groups each sponsor one classroom, the remaining fundraising goal will be met. Construction began about a week and a half ago, and by the grace of Allah the main structural framework is already standing. The goal is to complete the entire project within 120 days. Our immediate priority is securing the remaining construction materials before the rainy season arrives. By supporting this project, you are helping provide orphaned children with a safe home, nourishing meals, Islamic education, academic education, and the opportunity to build a brighter future—all completely free of charge. May Allah accept from everyone who contributes, place immense barakah in every donation, and make it a source of continuous reward (Sadaqah Jariyah) for all involved. Ameen.
