Our summer camp is a bright spot in Millville while school is out. &nbsp;Our camp kids ask about it all year and eagerly wait for its return. &nbsp;Our Street Leaders count on it to develop their leadership skills, earn money for their school year, and to reconnect to the campers they have built meaningful relationships with. &nbsp;Our camp is 8 weeks away.&nbsp; We have run into some challenges raising money for it this year. &nbsp;Grant funding was not awarded to us. &nbsp;We have to raise salaries, rent, and supplies in order to provide our free camp this July and August. &nbsp;It feels like a monumental task... and I&#39;m really not great at asking for money yet:). &nbsp;But I know the kids and families that rely on our camp to provide a safe and fun space during the summer-- and I can&#39;t let them down. &nbsp;If you knew Amir and Mariah and Jeremias and Cayden and Nash... you would feel the same! &nbsp;They expect to return to our camp-- and I need to make that happen.&nbsp; I am asking for help. Urban Promise Millville provides a fun, active, learning environment that stands out among our county&#39;s camps-- and it is totally&nbsp;FREE for our children! &nbsp;We need to expand our numbers to 75 open spots this year. &nbsp;And we need to raise the salaries, rent, and supplies that allow us to serve our city to the best of our ability. &nbsp;We keep costs down to a minimum-- and if you work out the numbers, we provide camp at a cost of $66/student/week. &nbsp;We are really proud of that number. &nbsp; We are trying to raise $25,000 of the $30,000 we need. &nbsp;Every dollar will help us get there. &nbsp; $17 covers an hour of Street Leader pay$66 covers a week of camp for one child$100 covers a week of cleaning and paper products supplies$500 covers a week of salary so we can provide free meals to the kids$1000 covers our art supplies$3500 covers a full salary of summer work for one Street Leader Please help us throw the best summer camp in Cumberland County! &nbsp;Please share our fundraiser and spread the word to family, friends, and businesses... the kids in our city need us all to pitch in!! &nbsp;Let&#39;s make this the best summer ever for them!
