A Life Taken Too Soon. A Family Left With Unimaginable Grief. We come together with heavy hearts. What began as a distressing call to the UNITED SIKHS UMEED Helpline (+1-855-878-6333)&mdash;from a family urgently seeking help to find their missing daughter has ended in unimaginable tragedy. Upon receiving the call, our advocacy team acted immediately, coordinating closely with the local Police Department, the assigned detective, and other law enforcement agencies at the family&rsquo;s request. Every lead was pursued with urgency and care. While the search was still underway, we received the heartbreaking news that Amandeep Kaur had been found deceased, the victim of a fatal stabbing. Throughout this painful period, our team stood with the family and began working alongside CA Sikhs (Seva Hands), members of the Stockton Gurdwara committee, and community advisors. We are especially grateful to Kuljit Singh for his unwavering support and for helping connect with her relatives during these devastating moments. Her Story She courageously escaped an abusive marriage and rebuilt her life in the United States. After the recent passing of her father, she became the sole provider for her family in India: their hope, their strength, their future. Today, they are shattered and grieving their daughter from thousands of miles away, unable to bring her home for her final rites.
